Session Objectives:

1. Provide an overview of the daily work flow in a modern assisted reproductive technologies (ART) laboratory
2. Discuss the importance of quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) in the ART laboratory
3. Outline the basic tasks, skills, and requirements of embryologists who perform the procedures in the ART laboratory
4. Provide a brief background of the basic reproductive physiology necessary to understand the various skills and stations described above
